How to Take Care of Your Candle

Although a candle may seem like a simple accessory

Although a candle may seem like a simple household accessory, it can be the one thing that can take your household comfort to that next level.

To optimise on the candle you have chosen, it is a must to take great care of your candle, with some very easy and simple steps. At Cleo Mae we advise you to burn your candle for four hours at a time. Once you are ready to burn your candle again, snip the tip of the wick to get rid of the excess soot.

If you find that the wick is leaning to one side, take a metal instrument (a knife, fork, etc) and move the wick back to the centre, to keep the candle burning evenly.

In the rare case that you find soot around the sides of the candle jar, take a damp cloth and wipe off the excess soot.
